My Week in WBL
This week I have learned a lot about
the aspects of the career choice I am going for. I have also had the chance to listen
to three guest speakers that we had in the class.
The first gentlemen I had the
chance to listen to were Dr. Carrigan. He is a well-known employee for Premier
Medical and he was a wonderful speaker about the medical field. The only
problem I had with him speaking to me was that he is in medical. I know nothing
about medical and I honestly don’t plan on going into any sort of medical role.
I did find his speaking very nice and it was still interesting to be able to
listen to someone in his job position.
The next
person was Russell Roberts. He is from Premier Medical as well. I did enjoy
what he was saying to us and I found what he was saying intriguing. He was more
from the IT and finances department which I can speak more about then the
medical field. He gave us very interesting info and he allowed us to ask our
questions and he answered our questions very thoroughly. He also gave out FULL
SIZED candy bars to the people that asked good questions so the was a plus!
The last
person’s name was Lloyd Stinson and he was also from Premier Medical. I unfortunately
was not able to listen to this guess speaker. I heard he did a very good job
and was even applauded at the end of his speaking so I really wish I was there
to hear his message. He was the person that I feel that I would have enjoyed
listening to the most do to the fact that his job position is most in lined
with what I am striving for.
I also think that this class is going at a very well set pace. When
we were first talking about the blog, YouTube, and maybe a pod cast I was
getting nervous about it because I felt that we were about to be thrown in to
it and hoping for the best. I am happy that things did not go the way I thought
they were. I am now excited to get started on some real business work so that I
can gain that experience that I took this class to get.

First, thank you for breaking up your ideas into separate paragraphs. It makes the blog easy to read. The image is also fitting for the post, so you've done a great job of organizing your work.
ReplyDeleteBeing in two classes with me gives you a great advantage since you have the opportunity to hear all the guest speakers that visit me. I appreciate the fact that you learned a little bit from Dr. Carrigan and Mr. Roberts.
I know you're disappointed about missing Lloyd Matson's presentation, and I hope you were able to learn a little about his message/story from what I shared with you earlier in the period.
We will work on the diction of our posts as the year progresses. When you improve on this aspect of your blog, I think your writing will really evolve. Thanks for the post.
