My Working Habits

In-class Work Habits

The in-class work habits I could improve on are staying on task. I am not the type of person to do long time consuming tasks that are easy. I would rather have something that is difficult and challenges me but doesn’t take up a lot of my time. If the work isn’t challenging me then I don’t really see the point in it so I get off task. I guess the best way to put it is I get bored. That’s way my out-class work habits are bad as well.

If the teacher gives us homework there is always one thing in my mind that is holding me back from doing it. It is that I don’t believe in homework. I know that sounds like a “teenage lazy procrastinator” but there is two things that make me feel this way. The first thing that I have come to learn is that we have to go through six other classes in the same day and learn something new every hour practically. By the time we get home we won’t remember all the steps necessary to do the homework, and since we are at our home we can’t raise our hand and ask the teacher.  Home is the place where you should be able to go and relax, do chores, talk to your parents, or maybe is things aren’t well at home you need to be out all night at a job. I know people say you can make time for it but there really isn’t a point to having homework. It is a reason to see if you can “do it on your own,” when in order to see this; a teacher just has to give out classwork and let you do it on your own. The second reason I don’t believe in homework is that it is just work that is time consuming. It doesn’t teach you anything new and you do that same thing you did in the class but at your home.
